First Seed Swap at Tonbridge Farmers market

We’ve held our first seed swap at Tonbridge Farmers Market last Sunday, on a cold and very wet morning.
Nevertheless, we had 16-20 people actively taking part, some people expressing an interest in being part of a seed circle, learning more about seed saving and one couple might want to join our community allotment group in Hadlow. So not bad for a really rotten day with a small footfall.

Here are a few pictures of the event, featuring 11 year old Ethan, a very enthusiastic grower from Tonbridge. He wants to enlarge the vegetable patch in his parents garden and has already drawn up a plan. He couldn’t wait to look through our selection of seeds and find some interesting varieties and swap them for the runner bean seeds he had saved from last year’s harvest. Go Ethan Go!

If you didn’t make it to the market this time, come and see us for another chance to get seed swapping at the next market
Sunday 10th of March 9:30-1:30!
